On the island I live there is a myth of a spider as large as a wolf that creates its web from bones.
This artwork was originally a photo of dead ivy branches reaching upwards from the top of a ferntree. After playing with it for a while it reminded me more of a spiders web, but made from something a bit more solid. So I had to figure out how it would work, how does a web made of bones catch prey?
I do have the answer, but it will need to wait until after the FIXATE exhibition when I have time to sit down and write the full story.
